A pre-race sample was taken from Taking Flight.
Miss Maximo and Cozzi were slow to begin. Taking Flight was checked off Strength To Wyn soon after the start. Permafrost, Strength To Wyn and Chain Of Fire collided approaching the first turn checking Cozzi, Permafrost and Strength To Wyn. Watch The One and Taking Flight collided on the first turn checking Taking Flight. Miss Maximo and Woodleigh Sal collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds and severely checking Permafrost, Strength To Wyn, Taking Flight and Watch The One and causing Strength To Wyn to fall. Cozzi, Miss Maximo and Woodleigh Sal collided approaching the home turn checking Miss Maximo and Woodleigh Sal. Miss Maximo and Permafrost collided on the home turn.
