Sideshow Herbie was a late scratching at 11:30am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Ms. D Furey was fined the sum of $100.

Reality Time was slow to begin. Blue Deception crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Night Hawk and Moody Ruby. Moody Ruby crossed to the outside at the 250m mark. Enchanting Image and Hillbilly Kisses collided at the 150m mark.

A sample was taken from Blue Deception – placed 2nd in the event.

Skybella, Spazzy Blue, Arejay Wobbles and Buzman Benz were slow to begin. Buzman Benz and Foxy Fern collided at the 250m mark. Foxy Fern and Sugar Free collided at the 200m mark. Arejay Wobbles checked off Buzman Benz at the 150m mark. Foxy Fern and Sugar Free collided at the 100m mark.

A pre race sample was taken from Azza.

Tweedle Dee, Jimmy's Angel and Hillbilly Spunk were slow to begin. Highfield Socks crossed to the outside and collided with Barlinnie Boy soon after the start, checking Barlinnie Boy.

A pre race sample was taken from Tink Allen.

Sweet Shiraz and One Take were slow to begin. Are You and Tink Allen collided soon after the start. Dusty Leads and Double Deception collided soon after the start. Are You, Tink Allen, One Take and Em Jay collided approaching the 250m mark, checking Tink Allen and One Take. Dusty Leads and Double Deception collided at the 250m mark. Are You and Em Jay collided at the 200m mark, checking Em Jay. Em Jay and Double Deception collided at the 100m mark. Tink Allen and One Take collided at the 50m mark, checking One Take. 

One Take was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr. G. Bahen, the representative of One Take regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at the 50m mark.

A sample was taken from Stoppa Bus - the winner of the event. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Formosa, the handler of Smooth Rebel regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Smooth Rebel last raced on 29th April, 2016 and is returning to racing after a right hock injury.

Mr. J Formosa, representative of Flying Holly declared a new weight of 31.7kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Flying Holly last raced at 30.1kgs.

A pre race sample was taken from Secret Society.

Flying Holly and Mix Off Harmony collided at the 300m mark. Invictus Lawless and Don The Sash collided at the 250m mark and again at the 200m mark. Smooth Rebel and Wilbur collided at the 150m mark. 

Stewards spoke to Ms. M. Schmidt, the trainer of Invictus Blu regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Invictus Blu last raced on 5th May, 2016 and is returning to racing after a back left knee ligament injury.

A pre race sample was taken from Invictus Blu.

Von Costa Kahn was slow to begin. Invictus Blu crossed to the rail soon after the start, causing Tuggeragh, Pyromania, High Mission and Bourbon An Kahn to collided, checking Pyromania, High Mission faltered and tailed off as a result. I'm Pumped, Tuggeragh and Bourbon An Kahn collided at the 300m mark, checking I'm Pumped and Bourbon An Kahn. 

Pyromania was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured left tibia, a 60 day stand down period was imposed. 

High Mission was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both back muscles, a 28 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Ms J. Walker, the trainer of  Miss Utamurra regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Miss Utamurra last raced on 18th May, 2016 and is returning to racing after having a left front toe removed.

A pre race sample was taken from Haiyan.

Happy Hour crossed to the outside soon after the start, causing Happy Hour, Proven Crown and Haiyan to collide, checking Happy Hour. Keep Talking crossed to the inside soon after the start, checking Miss Utamurra and Keep Talking. Happy Hour and Proven Crown raced wide from the 250m mark to the 150m mark. Albert's Patch and Zahra Bella collided at the 150m mark. Happy Hour and Proven Crown raced wide from the 150m mark to the winning post. 

A pre race sample was taken from Extradition.

Johnny's Return, Uncatchable and Master Phelps were slow to begin and collided soon after the start. Major Curly and Extradition collided soon after the start, checking Major Curly. Master Phelps checked off Extradition at the 300m mark and collided with Unexcuseable, checking Unexcuseable. Master Phelps and Uncatchable collided at the 200m mark, 150m mark and 100m mark. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Divers, the handler of Galantis regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Galantis last raced on 17th March, 2016 and is returning to racing after a seasonal spell.

A pre race sample was taken from Tweedle Dumb.

Steve's Blunder and Peninsula Lady collided soon after the start. Tweedle Dumb crossed to the outside soon after the start, checking Miss Dozer and Highfield Jimmy. Under The Grille and Miss Dozer collided at the 250m mark, checking Highfield Jimmy. Under The Grille raced wide approaching the 150m mark, checking Miss Dozer. Galantis checked off Peninsula Lady approaching the 100m mark. Under The Grille and Peninsula Lady collided approaching the winning post. Highfield Jimmy checked off Galantis approaching the winning post. 

Little Nova was a late scratching at 7:44am by order of Stewards.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Panther Grit crossed to the outside soon after the start, checking Fancy De Kahn. Barnie's Bullet and Glib Lightning collided soon after the start. Highfield Fred crossed to the inside at the 250m mark. Barnie's Bullet crossed to the oustide at the 250m mark, checking Glib Lightning, Chattering, Yeah Mint and Highfield Fred. Yeah Mint checked off Barnie's Bullet approaching the 150m mark. Fancy De Kahn and Highfield Fred collided approaching the 150m mark. 

A sample was taken from Panther Grit - the winner of the event. 

Stylish Billy and Chubby Lane were slow to begin. Dynamite Dozer stumbled at box rise and was very slow to begin (5 Lengths). Stylish Billy and Chubby Lane collided soon after the start. Chubby Lane, Can't Be Caught and Stylish Billy collided at the 300m mark, checking Stylish Billy and Can't Be Caught. 

Du Plessis was a late scratching at 11:19am on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to a right Quadricep injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre race sample was taken from Bab's On Parole.

Hurricane Aussie, Ego Yar, Bab's On Parole and Corless collided soon after the start. Hurricane Aussie checked off Corless at the 300m mark. Corless, Vista Kwazi and Blackjack's Back collided approaching the 200m mark, checking Corless and Vista Kwazi. Corless and Vista Kwazi collided approaching the 150m mark. Hurricane Aussie and Corless collided at the 100m mark.

A sample was taken from Blackjack's Back - the winner of the event. 

Satisfactory Weight Trial Results - Cat Zingano trialled over the 300m from box four, weight 32.1kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of two. The time of the trial was 16.91, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3.5 lengths. Cat Zingano was Cleared. 

Satisfactory Weight Trial Results - Simentone trialled over the 300m from box two, weight 35.4kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of two. The time of the trial was 16.91, the greyhound won by a margin of 3.5 lengths. Simentone was Cleared. 

Track Curator Mr. L. Rowe advised stewards that the track was harrowed on Wednesday 24th August 2016.
