A pre-race sample was taken from Kobe's Hand.
Miss Spence was quick to begin. Kobe's Hand and Aston Lydia collided soon after the start. Kobe's Hand crossed to the outside in the back straight, checking Bar The Bullet. Golden Hand and Lloyd Street collided on the first turn. Bar the Bullet and Iona Machine collided approaching the home turn.
Stewards noted that the muzzle of Golden Hand became dislodged during the event.
A sample was taken from Aston Lydia - the winner of the event.
