Destini Bluejay, Brazen Beetroot and Rosco Fields collided on the first turn checking Brazen Beetroot. Brazen Beetroot and Ragnar collided on the first turn checking Ragnar. Conclusive checked off Lektra Rustler approaching the home turn. Prove Tone checked off Brazen Beetroot on the home turn. Rosco Fields clipped the heels of Destini Bluejay entering the home straight. Proven Tone and Ragnar collided entering the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Destini Bluejay was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both shoulder joints a 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Conclusive was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds to the left and right hind legs. No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr J Chircop the trainer of the greyhound Satisfy regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn.  Satisfy was vetted and re-vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound,no stand down period was imposed. Acting underGAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Satisfy with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr J Chircop pleaded guilty to the charge, Satisfy was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks)pursuant toGAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr A Mooney,the (trainer) of the greyhound Commander regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn.  Commander was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds to left fore and right hindleg,a seven day stand down period was imposed. Acting underGAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Commander with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr A. Mooney pleaded guilty to the charge,Commander was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks)pursuant toGAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Panther Grit  was a late scratching at 3.54PM due to lameness in the left front leg.(GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
