Steward's Report
Vane Blue was a late scratching at 7:54am due to injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
A pre-race sample was taken from Mahogany Diamond.
Georgie Best and Mohogany Diamond collided soon after the start checking Georgie Best. Maximum Melva and Veetee Bomber collided soon after the start checking Maximum Melva. Veetee Bomber, All Inn Africa and Oscar collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Oscar. Cowboy Jury and Georgie Best collided on the first turn checking Cowboy Jury and Oscar; Oscar contacted the running rail and lost ground as a result. Veetee Bomber and Mahogany Diamond collided approaching the home turn. Cowboy Jury and Georgie Best collided in the home straight checking Georgie Best.

Satisfactory Trial Results
Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Hudson, the trainer of Thelma's Man regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Thelma's Man last raced on 14th December 2015. Mr. Hudson stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after injuries to its left wrist and shoulders. Pursuant to GAR 77A Thelma's Man trialled over the 390 metre dstance from box 1, weight 33.4kgs. The greyhound was placed 1st, in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.92. The greyhound won by a margin of 1.75 lengths. Thelma's Man was cleared.
Stewards spoke to Mr. W. Kirk, the trainer of Majestic Seine regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Majestic Seine last raced on 12th November 2015. Mr. Kirk stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after having a litter of pups. Pursuant to GAR 77A Majestic Seine trialled over the 450 metre dstance from box 8, weight 27.7kgs. The greyhound was placed 3rd, in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 25.97. The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 5.5 lengths. Majestic Seine was cleared.
