Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Ikaika Warrior.
Ikaika Warrior and Dyna Camo collided soon after the start severely checking Dyna Camo. Destini Scorcher and Celica Bale collided soon after the start checking Destini Scorcher. Telling Lies, Gunsblaze and Ikaika Warrior collided approaching the first turn checking Gunsblaze. Shytown Hussler and Celica Bale collided on the first turn. Dyna Camo and Gunsblaze collided on the first turn. Destini Scorcher checked off Elsa Bale entering the back straight. Telling Lies and Destini Scorcher collided on the third turn checking Telling Lies. Shytown Hussler and Celica Bale collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn. Telling Lies and Gunsblaze collided on the home turn. Destini Scorcher marred the running of Shytown Hussler in the home straight.
Destini Scorcher was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left monkey muscle. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Taylor, the representative of the greyhound Destini Scorcher regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Destini Scorcher with marring. Mr. Taylor pleaded guilty to the charge. Destini Scorcher was found guilty and was suspended for 28 days at The Meadows and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
