Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Hamilten, trainer of the greyhound Vermont regarding the greyhounds performance in the concluding stages of the event.  Mr. Hamilten stated that he has trialled the greyhound over 600 mt at the Ballarat track prior to this event.  Mr. Hamilten also stated that the greyhound has performed over similer distance's in the past. Stewards noted Mr Hamilten comments.

Dream Edition was a late scratching at 6:37pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to left hind leg medial pain.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

What's To Like was quick to begin.  Darpa Bale and Brilliant Shot collided soon after the start.  Cruisy's Luck, Darpa Bale and Brilliant Shot collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Cruisy's Luck and Darpa Bale.  What's To Like and Silky Sock collided on the first turn checking Silky Sock.

Mr. T. Dailly, handler of Running Yards declared a new weight of 35.2kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Running Yards last raced at 33.7kgs

Helski Bale was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left groin.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Pursell, the representative of the greyhound Helski Bale regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Helski Bale with marring.  Mr. Pursell pleaded guilty to the charge.  Helski Bale was found guilty and suspended for 3 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(2)(b), before any future nomiination will be accepted.

Rozehill Lisa was a late scratching at 6:00pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Mr. L. Lacy was fined the sum of $100.
