Steward's Report
This event was rescheduled to start at 12:50pm after the track was unable to be prepared for this event due to a fault with the tractor following event 1.
Binky Bale and Softie Sue were slow to begin. Taabinga Swift and Jupiter Jones collided soon after the start. Jupiter Jones checked off Fab's Fury approaching the first turn. Binky Bale, Softie Sue and Taabinga Swift collided approaching the first turn. Softie Sue and Taabinga Swift collided approaching the first turn checking Taabinga Swift. Ripple Eff Ex and Taabinga Express collided approaching the winning post.
Following the event, Alotta Memories displayed signs of Post Exercise Distress Syndrome (PEDS). As a result the greyhound was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained PEDS, abrasions to its right hind stifle and an injury to its right monkey muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Condon, the trainer of Alotta Memories and advised him that acting in accordance with GAR 74(1), Stewards directed that Alotta Memories must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
