Steward's Report
A pre race sample was taken from Sub Zero Magic.
Solitary Tear and Ninja Apple were slow to begin.
Lady Juar and Bob On collided soon after the start. Solitary Tear checked off Expecto Patronum on the first turn checking Monster Roar. Bob On and One Mississippi collided approaching the home turn checking Monster Roar. Solitary Tear and Monster Roar collided on the home turn. Monster Roar galloped on the heels of One Mississippi on the home turn, checking One Mississippi. Solitary Tear eased in the home straight and collided with Monster Roar checking both greyhounds.
Stewards spoke to Mr C Taylor, the representative of the greyhound Solitary Tear regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Solitary Tear was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right foreleg sesamoid, a 10 daystand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Solitary Tear with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr C Taylor pleaded guilty to the charge, Solitary Tear was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
