Stewards spoke to Mr J. Absalom, the trainer of Acquitted regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Acquitted last raced on 28 April 2016 and is returning after a spell.
A pre-race sample was taken from Better Beware.
Miss Spence and Aston Lydia were quick to begin. Miss Spence crossed in soon after the start checking Get Along Daisy, Better Beware and Acquitted. Aston Lydia crossed in approaching the first turn checking Miss Spence. Hot Genetics, Aston Lydia and Roll 'Em Missy collided on the first turn checking Aston Lydia and Roll 'Em Missy. Miss Spence crossed out on the first turn and collided with Get Along Daisy checking Acquitted and severley checking Get Along Daisy and Miss Spence.
