A pre-race sample was taken from Blue Marmion.
Take Fright was quick to begin. Destini Lass was slow to begin. Flaming Causeway and Chrysanthemum collided soon after the start. Robbie Gallen, Flaming Causeway and Full Blown Turbo collided approaching the first turn checking Flaming Causeway and Chrysanthemum. Blue Marmion and Take Fright collided on the first turn. Tally Ho Kate raced wide in the back straight. Destini Lass and Robbie Gallen collided approaching the home turn checking Destini Lass and Flaming Causeway.
Chrysanthemum was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left quadriceps muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
