Steward's Report
The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Impulsive Driven and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 10.55a.m. due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer C. Austin was fined the sum of $100.
Cooper Cronk, Monolith and Miss Calypso were slow to begin.
Monolith and Cooper Cronk collided soon after the start, checking Cooper Cronk.
Fantasia Dream and Darley Sunday collided approaching the first turn, checking Fantasia Dream.
Cooper Cronk and Miss Calypso collided approaching the home turn.
Miss Calypso was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right shoulder, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Following the event Miss Calypso displayed signs of Post Exercise Distress Syndrome (PEDS).
Stewards spoke to I. Vigor, the handler of Miss Calypso and advised him that the greyhound would be closely monitored in future events and placed on a satisfactory trial (GAR 71).
