Market Bird, Smurf's El Galo and Dead Set Stunner were slow to begin.  Time Shift, Smurf's El Galo and Dead Set Stunner collided soon after the start checking Smurf's El Galo.  Market Bird crossed to the outside on the first turn severely checking Smurf's El Galo; Market Bird lost ground as a result.  Misty Red was checked off Ronald on the third turn.
Market Bird was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left chest muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Steward's issued a warning to Mr. D. Burkett the trainer of Market Bird regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the first turn.

Total Rebellion and Reckling collided approaching the first turn.  Luczak was checked off Storm A Lite on the first turn checking Reckling.  Gung Ho Rumble, Worth Noting and Qunitella collided on the first turn checking Worth Noting.  Total Rebellion was checked off Reckling on the first turn.  Gung Ho Rumble was checked off Storm Alite approaching the home turn.  Luczak, Gung Ho Rumble and Reckling collided approaching the home turn checking Gung Ho Rumble and Reckling.  Gung Ho Rumble and Reckling collided several times between the home turn and entering the home straight.  Storm A Lite was checked off Qunitella entering the home straight.

What A Corker and Miss Deception collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. John And Jayjay, Flaming Paddy and Fire Fire collided approaching the first turn checking Flaming Paddy, Fire Fire and What A Corker. Miss Deception clipped the heels of Fire Fire entering the home staight checking Fire Fire.

Mister Scull was slow to begin. Neon Storm and Proven Mayhem collided soon after the start. Proven Mayhem, Mister Scull and Northern Gunna collided approaching the first turn. Henry Stomper was a late scratching at 9.50pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to the greyhound sustaining an injury in the kennel. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
