Kimanator and Isala Bale were quick to begin.  Marbo was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Magic Max, Cigar Club and Quincey Mc Goo were slow to begin.  Cigar Club and Quincy Mc Goo collided soon after the start checking Quincey Mc Goo.   Proper Bluey, Kimanator and Isala Bale collided soon after the start checking Kimanator.  Wise Ginger crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Proper Bluey, severely checking Isala Bale, Cigar Club and Quincy Mc Goo. Kimanator checked off Cigar Club entering the back straight.   Proper Bluey, Isala Bale and Magic Max collided on the home turn.  Marbo tired over the concluding stages of the event.

Marbo was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left triceps, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Trainer of Marbo, Mr R. Jolley, and reminded him of his responsibilities in regards to following the Starter's instructions when boxing the greyhound.

California Club and Our Cadel were slow to begin.  Ponting's Nail and Crying In Vegas collided soon after the start.  Imaculee and Both Sides Now collided soon after the start.  Perrier Bale, Crying In Vegas and Both Sides Now collided soon after the start, severely checking Both Sides Now.  California Club and Crying In Vegas collided approaching the first turn, severely checking California Club.  Imaculee and Perrier Bale collided approaching the third turn checking Imaculee. Zipping Laura and Perrier Bale collided approaching the winning post.

Both Sides Now was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Trainer, Mr M. Briganti was fined the sum of $50 for his failure to produce the registration card for the greyhound, Laxton, puruant to GAR 33. 

Light Feathers was quick to begin.  Laxton was slow to begin.  Hollywood Beam and Some Gem collided soon after the start.  Bobby Dillon, Nitro Power and Zipping Izzy collided soon after the start checking Bobby Dillon and Zipping Izzy causing Bobby Dillon to contact the running rail.  Light Feathers, Some Gem and Champion Exhibit collided on the first turn checking Some Gem.  Laxton and Zipping Izzy collided on the first turn checking Zipping Izzy.

Bobby Dillon was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained minor skin grazes, no stand down period was imposed.

Alfie, Somebody's Image, Lektra Burst and Yeah Whatever were slow to begin.  Alfie crossed to the outside soon after the start.  Ollie Boy and Text Me Tony collided approaching the first turn checking Text Me Tony.  Wise Maple crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Shiny Ice, Yeah Whatever and Lektra Burst, severely checking Ollie Boy and Text Me Tony.  Ollie Boy and Text Me Tony collided several times approaching the second turn checking Text Me Tony.  Lektra Burst galloped on the heels of Shiny Ice approaching the home turn checking Shiny Ice.

Ollie Boy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left back muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Text Me Tony was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Shiny Ice was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right triangle and calf muscles, and a swollen right hock, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr G. Glass, Trainer of Premier Malt, with regard to the length of time the greyhound has had between racing. Premier Malt last raced on 8th September, 2014.   Mr Glass stated that Premier Malt is returning to racing after whelping a litter of pups.  Stewards noted Mr Glass'  comments.

Harden Bale and Roo Dee were slow to begin.  Premier Malt and Deborah Lee collided approaching the first turn.  Lioness Lulu, Allen Quarian and Nork collided on the first turn checking Lioness Lulu, severely checking Allen Quarian, Nork and Premier Malt.  Deborah Lee and Roo Dee collided on the first turn.  Lioness Lulu and Harden Bale collided on the first turn causing Harden Bale to contact the running rail.  Premier Malt checked off Allen Quarian on the second turn.

Harden Bale was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbing to the right front, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Young Henry.

It's A Steal and Young Henry were slow to begin.  Morello, Uno Whirl and Darbain Dasher collided approaching the first turn checking Young Henry, Uno Whirl and Darbain Dasher.  Uno Whirl and Darbain Dasher collided entering the front straight.  Bel Air Spice and Young Henry collided on the home turn checking Bel Air Spice.  

Photon Jewel was vetted following the event due to a collision to the outside fence after the finish line.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a post race seizure, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Mr G. Joske, Trainer of Photon Jewel and advised him that acting in accordance with GAR 74, Stewards directed that Photon Jewel must perform a Satisfactory Trial, All Tracks, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Lemon Patchwork was a late scratching at 11:24am due to weight variation, GAR 39.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Mr M. Collyer was fined the sum of $100.

Pretty Bale and Monty Express were slow to begin.  Roethlisberger and Crazy Nitro collided soon after the start checking Roethlisberger.  King Richard and Crazy Nitro collided on the first turn.  King Richard and Monty Express collided on the second turn checking Monty Express.  King Richard and Pretty Bale collided approaching the third turn checking Crazy Nitro, Pretty Bale and Monty Express.  Roethlisberger, Crazy Nitro and Monty Express collided on the home turn checking Monty Express.  Roethlisberger checked off Crazy Nitro in the home straight.

Monty Express was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Pollos Hermanos, Cosmic Angel and Axis Bale were slow to begin.  Lister Bale and Polly Bale collided on the first turn.  Cosmic Angel and Axis Bale collided on the first turn checking Axis Bale.  Recruitment and Lister Bale collided approaching the second turn.  Lister Bale and Dyna Nihilist collided on the second turn.  Polly Bale checked off Loch Roman on the home turn.  Recruitment and Loch Roman collided in the home straight checking Recruitment.  Pollos Hermanos raced wide in the home straight.

Zipping Express was slow to begin.  Peyton Paradise, Madame Black and We're Hopeful collided soon after the start checking Madame Black and We're Hopeful.  Zipping Express and Peyton Paradise collided on the first turn.  Zipping Chrystal and Zana Bale collided on the first turn.  We're Hopeful and Flying Opal collided on the first turn and again on the second turn.  Zipping Express checked off Gazer Bale on the third turn.  Zipping Express and Zipping Chrystal collided on the fourth turn.  Zipping Express and Zana Bale collided approaching the home turn checking Madame Black and Zipping Chrystal.  Madame Black and Zipping Chrystal collided in the home straight.

Jayco Bale was a late scratching at 9.22am due to a hock injury, GAR 23.  A 10 day stand down peirod was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Morning Cruise and Lady Silver were quick to begin.  Lady Silver crossed to the inside soon after the start checking Mad Bekim and Call Me Gee.  Gabonia, Lektra Bandit and Garmon Bale collided soon after the start checking Lektra Bandit. Lektra Bandit checked off Gabonia approaching the first turn.  Gabonia brushed the running rail on the first turn.  Morning Cruise and Call Me Gee collided on the first turn.  Morning Cruise checked off Call Me Gee approaching the second turn checking Lady Silver.  Garmon Bale checked off Morning Cruise approaching the second turn checking Mad Bekim.  Gabonia checked off Morning Cruise in the back straight.  Lektra Bandit and Mad Bekim collided approaching the home turn checking Mad Bekim.  Gabonia and Mad Bekim collided on the home turn checking Mad Bekim.

Mr T. Dailly, Trainer of Eaton Bale redeclared a new weight of 35.5kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Eaton Bale last raced at 36.9kg.

Child's Dream and Malted were slow to begin.  Eaton Bale and Bebe collided soon after the start.  Agile Reason, Quaint Bale, Eaton Bale and Bebe collided approaching the first turn checking Eaton Bale, severely checking Quaint Bale, Bebe and Child's Dream.  Quaint Bale checked off Bebe entering the back straight.  Bebe checked off Agile Reason on the home turn.

Big Fancy was quick to begin.  Spring Pride, Pocket Kings and No Boots were slow to begin.  No Boots crossed to the rail soon after the start.  Daintree Puzzle and Hilltop Senorita collided approaching the first turn checking Daintree Puzzle. Daintree Puzzle and Spring Pride collided on the first turn causing Daintree Puzzle to fall checking No Boots.  Big Fancy and Hilltop Senorita collided on the first turn.  Sahara checked off Hilltop Senorita on the first turn.  Spring Pride and No Boots collided entering the back straight.  Big Fancy and Hilltop Senorita collided on the home turn checking Hilltop Senorita and Sahara. Big Fancy and No Boots collided approaching the winning post.

Daintree Puzzle was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Meeting Comments:

Taste Da Rainbow trialled over the 525m from Box 1, weight 27.1kg, the greyhound was placed 5th in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 30.45, the greyhound tailed off on the first turn.  Taste Da Rainbow was not cleared.

Cobalt Mist trialled over the 525m from Box 3, weight 25.0kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 30.45, the greyhound won by a margin of 13 lengths.  Cobalt Mist was cleared.
