Cerberus was quick to begin. Akando, Zipping Noel and Little Ginny collided soon after the start, checking Zipping Noel. Miss Jacovella and Cerberus collided on the first turn, checking Miss Jacovella and Little Ginny. Velvet Hammer and Akando collided on the first turn. Akando checked off Miss Jacovella approaching the home turn. Cerberus and Abbey's Hand collided approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds.
