Moonlight Cloud was quick to begin.  Baroness Jill checked off Class Aire approaching the first turn.  Paw Favor raced wide on the home turn.  Tigress Eight checked off Moonlight Cloud in the home straight.

Paw Favor was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Belena Belle was quick to begin.  Karaoke Ken, Lektra Kirky and Belena Belle collided soon after the start checking Karaoke Ken and Lektra Kirky.  Sir Murray checked off El Huracan approaching the first turn.  Sir Murray and Karaoke Ken collided approaching the first turn checking Sir Murray.  Mouth For War and Em's Boy Macca collided approaching the home turn.  El Huracan checked off Mouth For War entering the home straight checking Em's Boy Macca.  Sir Murray raced wide in the home straight.

Zac's A Sixpence was quick to begin.  Dirk And Rosie, Zipping Gilbert, Pason Sander and Hard Merchandise collided on the first turn checking Hard Merchandise.  Dirk And Rosie and Fiery Fox collided on the second turn checking Fiery Fox.

Hard Merchandise was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right thigh.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Approval was slow to begin.  Blonde Jettie, Claretown Clyde and Flying Hannah collided on the first turn checking Claretown Clyde.  Venom's Lad, With A Beer and College Graduate collided approaching the second turn checking Flying Hannah.  Claretown Clyde and Flying Hannah collided approaching the home turn.  Approval checked off With A Beer approaching the home turn.  With A Beer and Approval collided several times in the home straight checking With A Beer.

With A Beer was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Golden Girl Anna and Belena Bolt were slow to begin.  Lumumba and Slipaway Simba collided soon after the start checking Slipaway Simba.  Kid Famechon and Miss Belena collided approaching the first turn checking Miss Belena.  Lumumba, Kid Famechon and Velocity Saphire collided on the first turn.  Lumumba checked off Kid Famechon approaching the home turn checking Miss Belena.  Belena Bolt checked off Lumumba on the home turn severely checking Miss Belena and Belena Bolt.

Tiger Of Oz was slow to begin.  Ninja Kong, Diamond Minx, Derby Ghost, Another City and Subway collided soon after the start checking Diamond Minx.  Ninja Kong, Derby Ghost and Another City collided approaching the first turn checking Derby Ghost and Another City; Another CIty fell and severely checked Derby Ghost as a result.  Leah Belena checked off Subway approaching the home turn.  Diamond Minx and Ninja Kong collided on the home turn.

Another City was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Gavin, trainer of Pen Shaw regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced (15 Dec 2015).  Mr. Gavin stated that the greyhound had returned to his kennels and had been Coursing.

Mr. P. Gavin, trainer of Pen Shaw redeclared a new weight of 28.6kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Pen Shaw last raced at 27.2kg.

Lisicki Spur was slow to begin.  Be Hopeful, Secret Marjen, Merlot Magic and Cooly Queen collided soon after the start checking Cooly Queen.  Be Hopeful, Secret Marjen, Merlot Magic and Fancy Agro collided on the first turn checking Be Hopeful, Secret Marjen and Merlot Magic.  Pentapod and Fancy Agro collided approaching the second turn checking Be Hopeful.  Pen Shaw and Secret Marjen collided in the home straight.  Secret Marjen and Pentapod collided approaching the winning post.

Lulu Noir was quick to begin.  Thanks Dorothy, Ima Goodin and Cosmic Scar were slow to begin and collided soon after the start checking all three greyhounds.  Thanks Dorothy checked off Ima Goodin approaching the first turn.

K. Miller, trainer of Dynamic Groover redeclared a new weight of 34.0kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Dynamic Groover last raced at 32.6kg.

Winter Blues, Corgi Cry and Coka Beach were quick to begin and collided soon after the start checking Corgi Cry and Coka Beach.  Mouyong Jimmy and Blue Label collided approaching the first turn checking Mouyong Jimmy.  Coco Savi and Coka Beach collided approaching the home turn checking Coka Beach.  Coka Beach checked off Coco Savi in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to P. Carmichael, trainer of Ready Jet Go regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced (09 Dec 2015).  Mr. Carmichael stated that the greyhound had had an operation on its shoulder.

Ready Jet Go and Kharlessi were quick to begin.  Elite Tulip and Eumeralla Danny were slow to begin.  Calippo Man and Kharlessi collided approaching the first turn checking Kharlessi and Eumeralla Danny.  Elite Tulip checked off Calippo Man on the first turn.  Kharlessi and Atlas Surprise collided approaching the home turn.  Calippo Man and Eumeralla Danny collided several times approaching the home turn.  Atlas Surprise raced wide in the home straight.

B. Chapman, trainer of Black Gypsy redeclared a new weight of 29.2kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Black Gypsy last raced at 27.6kg.

Southwood Lloyd and Remo Coffee collided soon after the start.  Black Gypsy, Classy Tulip and Bandsaw collided soon after the start.  Black Gypsy, Classy Tulip, Bandsaw, Lexton Gold and Court Gift collided approaching the first turn checking Court Gift, Lexton Gold and Bandsaw.  Lexton Gold checked off Classy Tulip on the first turn.

Satisfactory Trial - Turned in the boxes/ Weight trial

Dr. Chitchat trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 1, weight 24.0kgs.  The greyhound was placed 3rd, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.65.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 6 lengths.  Dr. Chitchat was cleared.
