Tiger Pride, Charlie's Lady and Still Bluffing were quick to begin.  Tiger Pride, My Master, Boofa Jack and Patchie Anchor collided soon after the start checking My Master, Boofa Jack and Patchie Anchor.  Tiger Pride and My Master collided approaching the first turn checking Tiger Pride.  Patchie Anchor checked off Still Bluffing approaching the first turn.  Patchie Anchor raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.  Tiger Pride raced wide in the home straight.

Tiger Pride was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its right shoulder and right thigh.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Solitary Tear, the winner of the event.

Primal Biz, Lord Kitchener and Crafty Diamond were slow to begin.  Highfield Stix checked off Held Hostage on the first turn checking Lord Kitchener.  Held Hostage eased approaching the second turn and collided with Sparkling Star as a result.  Crafty Diamond galloped on the heels of Held Hostage on the second turn checking Primal Biz and Lord Kitchener and severely checking Highfield Stix and Western Reign; Crafty Diamond fell as a result.  Held Hostage eased on the home turn and in the home straight checking Sparkling Star.

Crafty Diamond was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right coupling (back).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Held Hostage was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 7, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Jarkis, the representative of the greyhound Held Hostage regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the second turn and on the home turn.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1), stewards charged Held Hostage with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Jarkis pleaded guilty to the charge.  Held Hostage was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Four See was quick to begin.  Spare Parts was slow to begin.  Stress Star crossed to the outside soon after the start checking Cosmic Creation and Boston Shuffle.  Stress Star checked off Nawala Barko soon after the start.  Stress Star, Sailing Ale and Four See collided approaching the first turn checking Stress Star and Four See.  Stress Star checked off Sailing Ale on the first turn checking Four See and severely checking Stress Star, Spring Series and Boston Shuffle.  Stress Star and Boston Shuffle collided several times from approaching the home turn to the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Stress Star checked off Boston Shuffle in the home straight.

Stress Star was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.  Stewards directed that a sample be taken from the greyhound.

Deep Rock and Karaoke Ken were slow to begin.  Baroness Tiffie, Cro Cop and Our Banjo collided soon after the start checking Cro Cop, Our Banjo and Karaoke Ken.  Deep Rock and Seabrook Shan collided on the first turn checking Seabrook Shan.  Our Banjo and Seabrook Shan collided entering the home straight checking Our Banjo.

Crymelon Ruby was quick to begin.  Makaman was slow to begin.  Stolen Gem and Maximum Melva collided approaching the first turn.  Don Fire and Mabuti Girl collided approaching the first turn checking Slipaway Jenifer.  Don Fire, Maximum Melva and Stolen Gem raced wide in the home straight.  Makaman crossed to the outside approaching the winning post.

Dirk And Rosie and Mr. Optimistic were slow to begin.  Dynamo's Miss, Pason Sander, Fiery Fox and Go Jacko Go collided on the first turn checking Pason Sander, Fiery Fox and Mr. Optimistic and severely checking Soft Ballad.  Pason Sander, Fiery Fox and Go Jacko Go collided approaching the second turn checking Go Jacko Go.  Just A Dot checked off Mr. Optimistic on the home turn and collided with Pason Sander as a result.

Abdul and College Graduate were slow to begin.  With A Beer crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Thyme For Bed, Claretown Clyde, Thunder Chief, Crymelon Sunrise and Abdul.  Thunder Chief, Claretown Clyde and Abdul collided approaching the second turn checking Thunder Chief.  College Graduate galloped on the heels of With A Beer on the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Claretown Clyde checked off Thyme For Bed approaching the home turn.  With A Beer and College Graduate collided on the home turn checking With A Beer and Thyme For Bed.  Thunder Chief and Crymelon Sunrise raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.  With A Beer tired over the concluding stages of the event.

With A Beer was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Patjack Lomar and Super Leggera were quick to begin.  Tiger Of Oz was slow to begin.  Fourth Choice went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin (2 lengths).  Jeremey Rent and Bet Bet Ryan collided approaching the first turn checking Jeremey Rent.  Bet Bet Ryan and Super Leggera collided on the home turn.  Terrorizer, Patjack Lomar and Super Leggera collided on the home turn.  Patjack Lomar and Super Leggera collided on the home turn.  Terrorizer and Patjack Lomar collided in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr N Tait, trainer of Highfield Bessie regarding the extended period of time between the greyhound's races.  Highfield Bessie's last race start was on the 12th March, 2015.  Mr Tait stated that Highfield Bessie was returning to race after having a spell and performing a satisfactory trial.  Stewards noted the explanation.

Lil' Whirl Girl and Ima Goodin were slow to begin.  HIghfield Maddie, Arvo's Leo, Ladies Kay, Lil' Whirl Girl and Minnie Surf collided soon after the start checking Highfield Maddie, Ladies Kay and Lil' Whirl Girl.  To A Degree, Highfield Maddie, Ladies Kay, Minnie Surf and Highfield Bessie collided approaching the first turn checking Ima Goodin and severely checking Lil' Whirl Girl, Highfield Bessie, Highfield Maddie and Minnie Surf; Ladies Kay fell and Highfield Maddie and Minnie Surf stumbled and lost considerable ground as a result.  Lil' Whirl Girl and Highfield Bessie collided in the home straight.

Highfield Maddie was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Minnie Surf was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right thigh.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Belena Belle and Little Miss Sin were quick to begin.  Girrawarra Magic checked off Beyond The Vally soon after the start.  Magic Court, Jukebox Hero and Belena Belle collided approaching the first turn checking Magic Court, Jukebox Hero and Beyond The Vally.  Jukebox Hero and Beyond The Vally collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Girrawarra Magic and Little Miss Sin collided approaching the home turn.

West Mae was quick to begin.  Jetgun and Calippo Man collided soon after the start checking Jetgun.  Don's Legend, Jack's Prince and Peter Repeater collided approaching the first turn checking Don's Legend and Jack's Prince.  Jetgun checked off Don's Legend on the first turn.  West Mae and Tilly's Tempa collided approaching the home turn checking Tilly's Tempa.  Looney Lucy raced wide on the home turn.  Jetgun and Don's Legend collided entering the home straight checking Don's Legend.  West Mae and Calippo Man collided entering the home straight.  West Mae and Jack's Prince collided approaching the winning post checking West Mae.

Jetgun was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left foot.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Pingu was slow to begin.  Stop Senoring and Tiny Profit collided soon after the start.  Stop Semoring, Tiny Profit and Rance Regstrong collided approaching the first turn.  Tiny Profit and Rance Regstrong collided approaching the first turn checking Tiny Profit and Pingu.  Riddle Me Lad and Pingu collided on the home turn.
