Zelemar Leap and Malted were quick to begin. Zipping Easey and It's A Blast were slow to begin. Jordy Paige checked off Zelemar Leap approaching the first turn. It's A Blast and Malted collided on the first turn, checking Malted and Jordy Paige. Crymelon Pink clipped the heels of Jordy Pagie on the first turn, severely checking Crymelon Pink, which stumbled and lost considerable ground. Crymelon Sunrise raced wide approaching the home turn. Zipping Easey and Jordy Paige collided on the home turn. It's A Blast raced wide in the home straight.
Crymelon Pink was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a strained right medial thigh, a five day stand down period was imposed.
