Steward's Report
Fear The Best was a late scratching at 2:59 pm due to non arrival (GAR 31). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer N. Davis was fined the sum of $100.
An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Punk Pirate engaged in this event on Thursday 28th May, 2015 pursuant to GAR 79A.
A pre race sample was taken from Del Rio.
Cosmic Lily and Del Rio were quick to begin. Red Light Runner, Oaklands and Miss Cersei collided soon after the start checking Oaklands. Cosmic Lily, Final Bid, Del Rio and Punk Pirate collided approaching the first turn checking Cosmic Lily and Final Bid. Del Rio, Punk Pirate and Red Light Runner collided on the first turn checking Final Bid and severely checking Del Rio and Red Light Runner and causing Punk Pirate to fall. Miss Cersei checked off Final Bid approaching the home turn. Cosmic Lily raced wide entering the home straight.
Punk Pirate was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness in the left shoulder and soreness in the right triangle. A stand down period of 5 days was imposed.
