Don't Crumble was slow to begin.  Bolt Me Down faltered approaching the first turn and subsequently tailed off.  Crackerjack Bob galloped on Night Phantom approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Don't Crumble and Akina Akeira collided on the first turn checking Akina Akeira.  Night Phantom galloped on Akina Akeira approaching the home turn.  Late One Night and Night Phantom collided on the home turn.  Don't Crumble and I'm So Late collided entering the home straight and again approaching the winning post.

Bolt Me Down was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 8 it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right and left chest muscle and spike wounds to the left wrist, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Ninety Five, Texan Star, Vernon Bale and Mo Town San collided on the first turn.  Vernon Bale and Mo Town San collided approaching the second turn.  Ninety Five was checked off Texan Star approaching the second turn and again in the home straight.  Texan Star tired over the concluding stages of the event.

Zelemar Doll was quick to begin.  Farhat Bale was slow to begin.  Miss Suzie Que crossed in approaching the first turn checking Le Doyen, Precious Pink, Farhat Bale and Zoltar, Zoltar galloped on Le Doyen as a result and lost ground.  Fragility and Miss Suzie Que collided several times on the first turn checking both greyhounds.
