Ronnie's Delight and Finchy were slow to begin. Dundas Boy, Chasing Amy and Finchy collided soon after the start checking Finchy. Ronnie's Delight, Chasing Amy and Finchy collided on the first trun severely checking Chasing Amy and Ronnie's Delight fell as a result. Jacana, Belena Belle and Dundas Boy collided approaching the home turn checking Jacana and Dundas Boy. Dundas Boy raced wide in the home straight.
Ronnie's Delight was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left shoulder. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Chasing Amy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right hock and right shoulder. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
