Marvelous Marvin was quick to begin.  Lektra Bandit crossed to the outside approaching the first turn, checking Red Hot Millie and Polijuice Potion.  Lektra Bandit and Emi's Boy Murph collided approaching the first turn, checking Lektra Bandit.  He Gone, All Vapour and Emi's Boy Murph collided approaching the home turn, checking He Gone.  Lektra Bandit and Polijuice Potion collided approaching the home turn, and again entering the home straight.  Emi's Boy Murph and All Vapour collided several times approaching the winning post.

Red Hot Millie was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to S Melville, trainer of the greyhound Emi's Boy Murph regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Emi's Boy Murph was vetted followingn the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left triangle muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR69(B)(1), the stewards charged Emi's Boy Murph with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  S Melville pleaded guilty to the charge.  Emi's Boy Murph was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to catcher Robert Cook and reminded him of his responsibilities regarding the displaying of his license, dress code and to ensure he carried the necessary equipment when catching the greyhound.
