A pre-race sample was taken from El Marny.
Quiet Brilliant, Uptown Funk and Cruiser's Sol were slow to begin. Future Past, Pop Wright and Uptown Funk collided approaching the first turn, checking Pop Wright and Uptown Funk, Pop Wright fell as a result. Quiet Brilliant and Kyl's Me Mate collided on the home turn. Quiet Brilliant and Cruiser's Sol collided in the home straight.
Pop Wright was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
