Track Curator, Mr R Hamilton, advised Stewards that the track was lightly harrowed on 27 July 2016.

Special Unit and Twilight Cruiser collided soon after the start, checking Twilight Cruiser.  Magic Karma and Special Unit collided approaching the first turn, checking Magic Karma.  Special Unit checked off Bull Battle Born approaching the first turn.  Perfect Rider, Wandella Magic and Worthy Moment collided on the first turn, checking Worthy Moment.  Twilight Cruiser checked off Worthy Moment on the first turn, checking Magic Karma and severely checking Twilight Cruiser.

Stewards spoke to Mr P Rowan, the trainer of Rapid Lily, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Rapid Lily last raced on 31 March 2016.  Mr Rowan stated that the greyhound is returning to racing after being new to the kennel.  Mr Rowan also declared a new weight of 27.5kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Rapid Lily last raced at 26.0kgs.

Rapid Lily and Twilight Butch were slow to begin.  Yucatan and Vectis Seyarda collided soon after the start.  Yucatan, No Money Down and Zambora Queenie collided approaching the first turn.  Yucatan, No Money Down and Twilight Butch collided on the first turn, checking No Money Down.  Zambora Queen checked off Camelot Rose on the first turn.  Yucatan and Zambora collided on the first turn.  Rapid Lily and Camelot collided in the home straight.

Rapid Lily was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr P Rowan, the trainer of Rapid Lily regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.

Work Mate and Shazza's Gift were quick to begin.  Calvadoss and Shazza's Gift collided soon after the start.  Calvadoss and Shazza's Gift collided approaching the first turn, checking Calvadoss.  Work Mate and Nearly Lilly collided on the first turn.  Work Mate and Shazza's Gift collided on the home turn.  Why Not Dawn and Nearly Lilly collided on the home turn and again in the home straight.
