Stewards spoke to Ms N. McCrae, trainer of the greyhound Don The Sash which had not raced since m19 May 2016. Ms McRae stated the greyhound was returning to injury after recovering from a right wrist injury.
Isala Bale and Zipping Laura collided soon after the start. Nev Time and Captain Freckles collided soon after the start. Bugs Boloney, Isala Bale, Zipping Laura and Captain Freckles collided at the 300m mark, checking Zipping Laura. Isala Bale checked off Captain Freckles at the 250m mark. Don The Sash and Ava's Angel collided at the 100m mark.
