Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr B.Milne, the trainer of Marmasette regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Marmasette last raced on 8 April, 2016. Mr Milne stated that Marmasette was returning to racing from a spell. Mr Milne declared a new weight of 27.5kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Marmasette last raced at 28.9kg.
A pre-race sample was taken from Barney Bubble.
Barney Bubble and Bulk Carnage collided soon after the start. Bert's Special, Zebo Bale and Marmasette collided soon after the start checking Marmasette. Billiluna and Tarree's Ruslie collided soon after the start checking Tarree's Ruslie. Marmasette checked off Zebo Bale approaching the first turn. Barney Bubble, Bulk Carnage and Mary's Entity collided on the first turn checking Billiluna and Bert's Special, severely checking Barney Bubble. Bulk Carnage and Mary's Entity collided on the home turn.
Barney Bubble was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
