Cornelius Fudge, Peloton Bale and Recruitment were slow to begin. Humphrey Bale and Recruitment collided soon after the start checking Recruitment. Morningside and Humphrey Bale collided on the second turn. Cornelius Fudge checked off Peloton Bale on the second turn. Recruitment and Lady Goldenpaw collided entering the back straight checking both greyhounds. Cornelius Fudge raced wide in the back straight. Recruitment contacted the running rail in the back straight. Recruitment and Lady Goldenpaw collided on the third turn. Summer Wages and Humphrey Bale collided approaching the home turn checking Humphrey Bale.
