Don's Licker was quick to begin.  Bull Elephant and Rockin' Riri were slow to begin.  Steel Rain, Forbidden Planet and Bull Elephant collided soon after the start severely checking Forbidden Planet which stumbled and lost ground as a result.  Steel Rain, Bull Elephant and Rockin' Riri collided approaching the first turn checking Steel Rain and Bull Elephant.  Steel Rain checked off Bull Elephant on the first turn.  Rockin' Riri checked off Stressful approaching the home turn.  Bull Elephant galloped on the heels of Rockin' Riri on the home turn checking Rockin' Riri and severely checking Steel Rain and Forbidden Planet and causing Bull Elephant to fall.  Stressful crossed to the outside entering the home straight checking Stressful and Ravishing Rufus; Stressful raced wide as a result.

Bull Elephant was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Flying Opal was quick to begin.  Mini Morgo was slow to begin.  Sparkling Star, Go Wild Brodie, Makaman and Melodramatic collided on the first turn checking Sparkling Star, Makaman and Wild West Stress.  Sparkling Star checked off Mrs. Fozz approaching the second turn.  Mrs. Fozz checked off Makaman approaching the home turn.  Sparkling Star raced wide on the home turn.  Makaman and Mrs. Fozz collided in the home straight.

Radical Ghost was a late scratching at 11:30am on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to an injury to its right wrist.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Nictaynel and Blonde Man were quick to begin.  Sherry Baby, Don's Pick and Kilty Man were slow to begin.  Sherry Baby checked off Kilty Man approaching the first turn.  Wrecking Ralph checked off Blonde Man on the first turn checking Don's Pick.  Don's Pick checked off Wrecking Ralph approaching the home turn.  Wrecking Ralph and Kilty Man raced wide on the home turn and again in the home straight.

Why Not Lucy and Orange Fisheggs were quick to begin.  Ronnie's Delight and Mystique Speedy were slow to begin.  Esparza checked off El Huracan on the first turn checking All Bolts.  Esparza checked off Why Not Lucy approaching the home turn checking El Huracan.  Esparza and Orange Fisheggs collided entering the home straight checking Orange Fisheggs.  Orange Fisheggs and All Bolts raced wide in the home straight and collided approaching the winning post checking Orange Fisheggs.  El Huracan, Why Not Lucy, Vasile Boy and Mystique Boy collided approaching the winning post checking Why Not Lucy, Vasile Boy and Ronnie's Delight.

Thelma's Man was quick to begin.  Don Fire was very slow to begin (3 lengths) and raced wide throughout the event.  Louisiana Lil checked off Just A Dot on the first turn.  Claretown Clyde and Louisiana Lil collided on the home turn checking Claretown Clyde.

Don Fire was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Oops was quick to begin.  Ludwig Bale and Terrorizer collided soon after the start checking Ludwig Bale.  Filius Flitwick, Castle Black, Seeking Treasure and Terrorizer collided approaching the first turn checking Castle Black and Seeking Treasure.  Ludwig Bale and Castle Black collided several times approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Castle Black checked off Ludwig Bale on the first turn.  Castle Black and Seeking Treasure raced wide in the home straight.

Alberino was slow to begin.  Kenzi checked off Tantanoola soon after the start.  Son Of Sassi checked off Chantilly Magic soon after the start and again on the first turn checking Son Of Sassi.  Chantilly Magic and Alberino collided in the home straight.

Conclude was slow to begin.  Cooly Queen crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Hard Merchandise, Spreading Rumors, Hook Him In, Conclude, Prancing Lad and Tair Affair.  Spreading Rumors checked off Hook Him In in the back straight checking Hook Him In.  Hard Merchandise and Cooly Queen collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn checking Cooly Queen.  Spreading Rumors and Prancing Lad collided several times in the home straight.

Ten Grand Large was a late scratching at 2:27pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to an injury to its left hind foot.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Tarn Star and Mahogany Diamond were quick to begin.  Uriah's Thunder, Bandsaw and Uncontrollable collided soon after the start checking Bandsaw.  Sootette checked off Valetta Knight on the first turn and again approaching the home turn.  Sootette and Uriah's Thunder raced wide in the home straight.

Super Patricia was quick to begin.  Just Gracie, Contrive and Awesome Dynamo collided soon after the start checking Just Gracie and Contrive.  Ella Jordan checked off Slipaway Simba approaching the first turn.  Little Miss Sin checked off Slipaway Simba on the first turn.  Super Patricia, Awesome Dynamo and Carlanna Sharna collided several times from approaching the home turn to the home turn checking Awesome Dynamo.  Slipaway Simba and Contrive raced wide on the home turn.  Just Gracie raced wide in the home straight.  Carlanna Sharna and Ella Jordan collided approaching the winning post checking Carlanna Sharna.  Slipaway Simba and Contrive collided approaching the winning post.

Stop Senoring was quick to begin.  Court Gift was slow to begin.  Girl In Flight went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Counting Stars faltered soon after the start and tailed off as a result.  Court GIft, Girl In Flight and Ladies Kay collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds.  Stop Senoring and Vee Bee Elle collided entering the home straight.  Ladies Kay raced wide in the home straight.

Counting Stars was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right triceps.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Tiny Profit was quick to begin.  Dynamic Groover was slow to begin.  Bound For Vegas and Patjack Lomar collided approaching the first turn checking Belena Bolt, Stolen Gem, Valentine Belle and Dynamic Groover.  Patjack Lomar and Bone Crusher collided approaching the home turn.  Dynamic Groover checked off Valentine Groover on the home turn.  Bone Crusher and Tiny Profit collided in the home straight checking Tiny Profit.

Stewards noted that the muzzle of Bone Crusher became partially dislodged during the running of the event.

Satisfactory Trials Results

Sparkling Kitty trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 1, weight 24.4kgs.  The greyhound was placed 2nd, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.30.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2 lengths.  Sparkling Kitty was cleared.
