A pre race sample was taken from Uncool Albert.
All Inn Bemm and Buckle In were quick to begin. Jonny Black Fox and Smiley Sam collided soon after the start. All Inn Bemm, Smiley Sam, Jonny Black Fox and Uncool Albert collided approaching the first turn, checking Harvest Gold. Jonny Black Fox, Uncool Albert and Big Jake collided on the first turn, checking Big Jake. All Inn Bemm fell after the winning post.
All Inn Bemm was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a broken left front leg, and was humanely euthanised.
