Steward's Report
Garaole was quick to begin. Repeat and Sharina Thunder collided soon after the start. Sharina Thunder and Diamond Minx collided approaching the home turn. Hoss and Tiger Of Oz collided approaching the home turn. Hoss checked off Garaole entering the home straight and collided with Sharina Thunder. Garaole and Elite Circle collided in the home straight, checking Garaole. Hoss eased approaching the winning post.
Hoss was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left shoulder, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to S Hardisty regarding her difficulty in boxing the greyhound Repeat. Stewards directed that Repeat be boxed first in future events.
Stewards spoke to I Robinson, the trainer of the greyhound Hoss regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under GAR 39(A)(1) stewards charged Hoss with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. I Robinson pleaded not guilty to the charge, Hoss was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for 12 months (all tracks) and directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(c), before any future nomination will be accepted.
