Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Diva's Shadow upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Utopia was quick to begin. Zero Knockin' was slow to begin. McThumpa, Diva's Shadow and Benta Bale collided soon after the start checking McThumpa. Utopia, Diva's Shadow and Benta Bale collided on the first turn checking Diva's Shadow. Zero Knockin' galloped on the heels of Hyper Velocity approaching the second turn. Ok Jake checked off Diva's Shadow approaching the second turn. McThumpa, Zero Knockin' and Hyper Velocity collided approaching the second turn severely checking Zero Knockin' which fell.
McThumpa was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left front foot. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.
Zero Knockin' was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Hyper Velocity was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left pectoral muscle injury. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.
