Stewards spoke to Mr S Whitney, the trainer of Fancy More regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Fancy More last raced on 17 March 2016. Mr Whitney stated that the greyhound was having it's first start for the kennel.

Yanong and Big Ticket collided on the first turn checking Big Ticket. One For Me checked off Twilight Callum approaching the home turn. Yanong contacted the running rail approaching the home turn. Yanong and Big Ticket collided approaching the home turn checking Big Ticket which contacted the running rail. Quink, Fancy More and Twilight Callum collided approaching the home turn checking Quink and Twilight Callum. Yanong galloped on the heels of Quink approaching the home turn.

McThumpa was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left front foot. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.

Zero Knockin' was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Hyper Velocity was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left pectoral muscle injury. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Steady Walker trialled over the 425m from box 7, weight 29.4kg, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 24.38, the greyhound  beaten by a margin of 3L. Steady Walker was Cleared.
