Surfing Lass, Fred's My Name and Torageous were slow to begin. Mon Dasha was very slow to begin (6L). Ollie Aztec and Fred's My Name collided approaching the first turn. Surfing Lass and Mon Dasha collided approaching the first turn. Podium Sensation, Marcus Daking and Ollie Aztec collided on the first turn, checking Marcus Daking and Ollie Aztec. Fred's My Name checked off Marcus Daking approaching the home turn and collided with Ollie Aztec. Fred's My Name and Torageous collided in the home straight.
Fred's My Name was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left foreleg monkey muscle, left hindleg stifle and right hindleg groin, a seven day stand down period was imposed.
