Steward's Report
Red Bomber, Gypsy Wendy and Vintage Box were quick to begin. Our Nico was very slow to begin (4 lengths). Red Bomber and Gypsy Wendy collided approaching the first turn. Stress Star, Ultimate Cash and Sweet Charmola collided on the first turn checking Ultimate Cash. Ultimate Cash eased on the first turn. Stress Star and Sweet Charmola collided on the first turn. Our Nico and Sweet Charmola collided approaching the home turn checking Red Bomber and causing Sweet Charmola to race wide.
Ultimate Cash was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left monkey muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Les Johnson,the (trainer) of the greyhound Ultimate Cash regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Ultimate Cash was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to left monkey muscle,a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting underGAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Ultimate Cash with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Johnson pleaded guilty to the charge, Ultimate Cash was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks)pursuant toGAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
