Stealthy Swift was quick to begin.  What's The Goss was slow to begin.  Lunar Chief crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Perry White.  Miss Sim, Uvalde and Lunar Chief collided on the first turn checking Uvalde.  Miss Sim and Lunar Chief collided approaching the home turn checking Lunar Chief.  Perry White raced wide on the home turn.

Richo Richo Girl was quick to begin.  Power Sensation was slow to begin.  Dr. Double Malt crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Rozehill Skye and severley checking Ima Ebay, Mighty Mish and Oriental Katana.  Rozehill Skye crossed out entering the back straight checking Dr. Double Malt.  Rozehill Skye was checked off Mudslinger in the back straight.  Ima Ebay and Mighty Mish collided on the second turn checking Mighty Mish.

Stewards noted the muzzle of Mudslinger became partially dislodged during the running of the event.

Dr. Carlos crossed out soon after the start checking Dr. Lachie and Nods One.  Alotta Memories crossed in approaching the first turn checking Ashtastic, Nods One and Somebody's Image.  Alotta Memories and Kev's Choice collided on the first turn checking Alotta Memories.  Dr. Carlos was checked off Alotta Memories entering the back straight.  Dr. Lachie and Nods One collided in the back straight.  Dr. Lachie was checked off Nods One on the second turn.  Somebody's Image was checked off Dr. Lachie approaching the home turn.

Kobe's Hand was a late scratching at 2.30pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer Ms. S. Northway was fined the sum of $100.

Elfie and My Baby Porscha collided in the home straight.

Aston Salute and Wadelock Willow were quick to begin.  Fast Boloney and Renajohn were slow to begin.  Wadelock Cappa and Aston Salute collided soon after the start.  Dodge The Storm and Wadelock Cappa collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Dodge The Storm, Wadelock Cappa, Fast Boloney and Renajohn collided on the first turn checking Wadelock Cappa, Fast Boloney and Renajohn and severley checking Dodge The Storm.  Wadelock Cappa and Fast Boloney collided on the second turn.  Renajohn was checked off Fast Boloney in the back straight.  Wadelock Willow raced wide on the home turn.  Fast Boloney and Renajohn collided entering the home straight and again approaching the winning post.

Prue Jay was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injured monkey muscles, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Renajohn was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

A pre-race sample was taken from This Is Spartan upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

Barney Boloney was quick to begin.  Far Out Indian and Hula Hustler were slow to begin.  This Is Spartan and Ringadingding collided approaching the first turn checking This Is Spartan and severley checking Ringadingding which stumbled and lost considerable ground as a result.  Jake was checked off Moria Magic on the first turn.  Bebington, This Is Spartan and Far Out Indian collided approaching the second turn checking Bebington, Far Out Indian and Hula Hustler and severely checking This Is Spartan.  Bebington was checked off Far Out Indian approaching the second turn.  Far Out Indian and Hula Hustler collided on the third turn checking Far Out Indian.  Moria Magic and Hula Hustler collided several times in the home straight.

Ringadingding was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right monkey muscle and right chest, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Oh Lele Peter, Carly Jay, Triple Cee and Arvo's Violet were slow to begin.  Me The Chief and Our Spinner collided on the first turn severley checking Show Dawn and Me The Chief, Show Dawn raced wide as a result checking Carly Jay.  Show Dawn and Triple Cee raced wide on the home turn.

Sindy's Girl was quick to begin.  Guillermo, Oriental Prince, Marble Hill and Sunset Senorita were slow to begin.  Oriental Prince, Marble Hill and Sunset Senorita collided on the first turn checking Marble Hill. Guillermo galloped on Arvo's Leroy entering the back straight. Guillermo and Sunset Senorita collided on the second turn checking Guillermo. Guillermo and Marble Hill collided on the second turn checking Marble Hill which faltered and pulled up.

Marble Hill was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right humerus, a 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Dessie Walnut was quick to  begin. Mouyong Jimmy, Where's Rhys, Veetee Mist and Peter Repeater were slow to begin. Big Burkey and All About Arby collided on the first turn checking Peter Repeater. Where's Rhys and Peter Repeater collided on the first turn checking Where's Rhys. All About Arby and Nachos Gracias collided entering the back straight.  Mouyong Jimmy, Veetee Mist and Peter Repeater collided in the back straight checking Mouyong Jimmy and Peter Repeater. Nachos Gracias was checked off All About Arby entering the home straight and collided with Veetee Mist checking Nachos Gracias.

Hip Hop Emmy was quick to begin.  Rose Of Dyanna and Da Mishka were slow to begin.  Brodie's Mullet and Arvo's Tayzer collided soon after the start checking Arvo's Tayzer.  Rose Of Dyanna and Da Mishka collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Make Us Magic and Better Beware collided on the first turn checking Make Us Magic.  Arvo's Tayzer and Da Mishka collided approaching the home turn checking Da Mishka.  Rose Of Dyanna was checked off Make Us Magic in the home straight.

Jay Kay Be was a late scratching at 8.51am due to injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certifcate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards broke the seal to the race bay for this event at 5.51pm to check the condition of the greyhound Galloping Ashley.  Galloping Ashley was vetted and passed fit to race.

Rusty Mia and Shanks Very Much were quick to begin.  Harsh Miles was slow to begin.  Dr. Balboa and Pingu collided soon after the start checking Pingu.  Dr. Balboa and Pingu collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn checking Dr. Balboa.  Dr. Balboa was checked off Harsh Miles entering the home straight.

Meeting comments:

Satisfactory trial results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr. Doug Blake the trainer of Kay Cee Smack regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Kay Cee Smack last raced on 22/03/15. Mr. Blake stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a right hock injury.  Pursuant to GAR 77A Kay Cee Smack trialled over 315 metres from box 1, weight 34.2kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 18.74 secs, the greyhound won by a margin of 5.25 lengths.   Kay Cee Smack was cleared.
