Lachlan Fantasy was quick to begin. Kenzi, Contrive and Fantasy Lisa collided soon after the start. Contrive, Top End Bill and Fantasy Lisa collided approaching the first turn checking Fantasy Lisa. Contrive, Top End Bill and Lachlan Fantasy collided on the first turn checking Contrive and Lachlan Fantasy. Contrive checked off Top End Bill approaching the home turn, severely checking Lachlan Fantasy which stumbled. Bradfield and Top End Bill collided on the home turn. Slipaway Simba checked off Kenzi entering the home straight. Bradfield checked off Top End Bill approaching the winning post.
Lachlan Fantasy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left thigh, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
