Steward's Report
A pre-race urine sample was taken from Marionvale Pies.
Hudson River was quick to begin. Rich Flex, Marionvale Pies and She's Iconic were slow to begin.
My Girl Piper (faltered and lost ground turning off the back straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left pectineus muscle injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Steven Van Oirschot regarding the racing manners of Unsurpassed in the home straight. After hearing submissions from Mr. Van Oirschot, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, a warning was issued.
