Cloncurry Gold and Extreme Wheels were quick to begin. Belfast Spot was slow to begin.
Internal Affairs (faltered turning into the back straight and subsequently tailed off) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left wrist, left back muscle and right back muscle. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track turning into the back straight and deemed it suitable for racing.
