Steward's Report
Crackerjack Matt – Late scratching at 10.25pm on 29 October 2024 when Mr Jordan Cooper reported the greyhound to have be injured (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.
Browser was quick to begin. Swift Gift was slow to begin.
Assume Floppy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abraded left hind paw. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Dale Dawson regarding the racing manners of Assume Floppy in the home straight. After hearing submissions from Mr Dawson, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, a warning was issued.
A post-race urine sample was taken from Browser - the winner of the event.
