Steward's Report
Mepunga Tilly (turned head inwards and marred Blue Rise in the home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Representative Ms A.Bingham regarding Mepunga Tilly’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Mepunga Tilly was charged with marring. Ms Bingham pleaded guilty to the charge. Mepunga Tilly was found guilty and suspended for 28 days (2nd offence) at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Supplementary Report 9/12/24: The offence above for Mepunga Tilly was actually a 3rd Offence and is incorrectly listed as a 2nd Offence. The correct penalty is under GAR 127 (c) and a suspension from racing for 3-months, which is to expire on 22/1/2025. Further, in accordance with GAR 127 (c) - two satisfactory trials are required to be completed before any future nomination will be accepted..
