Steward's Report
Mally Boy was quick to begin.
Hurricane Gypsy (lost ground in the back straight and subsequently tailed off) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right shoulder injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Ms. Victoria Sultana declined the option to have the greyhound re–examined. Stewards spoke to Ms. Sultana regarding Hurricane Gypsy's performance in the event. Ms. Sultana advised the stewards that the intention is to retire Hurricane Gypsy. After hearing submissions from Ms. Sultana, viewing the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards deemed the performance of Hurricane Gypsy unsatisfactory. Hurricane Gypsy must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 129, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
