Steward's Report
A pre-race urine sample was taken from Grey Chief.
Rose Opal and Smiley Shoshone were quick to begin. Tiny Bit Spoilt was very slow to begin.
Smiley Shoshone (visibly eased and turned its head on the home turn) undwerwent a post-race veterinary and was found to have injuries to the right back muscle and right triceps muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr.David Crawford regarding the greyhound's racing manners. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Smiley Shoshone was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Crawford pleaded guilty to the charge. Smiley Shoshone must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
