Luna Jinx and Nicki Fields collided on the first turn checking Nicki Fields and Space Star.  Berry Blitz and Space Star collided on the third turn.  Echelonic Action tired approaching the home turn and lost considerable ground.  Beks checked off Echelonic Action in the home straight.

Musquin Bale was a late scratching at 6.11pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary surgeon due to a split webbing. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Recruitment was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the right calf muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Lamia Bale was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Impact Bale, Weblec Belle, Black And Pretty and Jack Silver collided soon after the start checking Weblec Belle and Black And Pretty.  Weblec Belle, Black And Pretty and White Walker collided on the first turn checking Weblec Belle and White Walker.  Weblec Belle and White Walker raced wide as a result.  Dyna Ping, Impact Bale and Crackerjack Burn collided approaching the third turn checking Dyna Ping.  Impact Bale eased on the home turn and collided with Jack Silver.  

Impact Bale was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right triangle muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Mr T. Mitchell, Representative of the greyhound.  Acting under GAR  69(B)(1), Stewards charged Impact Bale with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Mitchell pleaded guilty to the charge.   Impact Bale was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial, All Tracks, pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Pedro's Twist, Destini Lobo and Targaryen collided soon after the start.  Dawkins Bale, Pedro's Twist, Destini Lobo and Targaryen collided approaching the first turn checking Pedro's Twist and Destini Lobo.  Why Not Luke and Targaryen collided on the first turn checking Targaryen, Allen Malik, Destini Lobo, Pedro's Twist and Dyna Keitaro.  Dawkins Bale and Why Not Luke collided on the first turn and again approaching the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Dyna Keitaro and Destini Lobo collided on the second turn.

Meeting Comments:

Stewards this evening interviewed Mr J. Olsen, Trainer of Broon Hilda, regarding the greyhound's performance in Race 10 at Sandown on 1 March, 2015 (Refer to Stewards Report Sandown 1/3/2015).  Mr Olsen explained that he had been disappointed with the run of the greyhound and believed that the greyhound can be more competitive if racing at a lighter weight.  Mr Olsen agreed to have the greyhound revetted at a date to be determined and also have the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial, before any future nomination.  Stewards noted Mr Olsen's comments.
