Steward's Report
Oakmont Octum went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin. Oakmont Octum crossed to the rail soon after the start. Sparkling Venus and Barcia Gem collided approaching the first turn. Sparkling Gem galloped on the heels of Barcia Gem on the first turn and again approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds. Fantasy Molly and Oakmont Octum collided approaching the home turn checking Oakmont Octum. Saint Oaks raced wide on the home turn and again in the home straight. Fantasy Molly raced wide in the home straight.
Stewards noted that the muzzle of Barcia Gem became dislodged on the first turn.
Barcia Gem was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained grazes to the left front leg. No stand down period was imposed.
