Steward's Report

The start of this race was rescheduled to 9:15pm.

Lady Toy was slow to begin.  Julie Bale and Starc collided on the first turn checking Starc, severely checking Mullaway which checked off Psychotic Gold. Reap The Benefit and Beks collided on the first turn checking Reap The Benefit.  Footluce Diva commenced to tire on the fifth turn.  Starc and Footluce Diva collided approaching the home turn checking Footluce Diva.  Psychotic Gold galloped on the heels of Footluce Diva approaching the home turn checking Psychotic Gold. 

Mullaway was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Footluce Diva was vetted following the event and was revetted following Race 10.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both shoulders, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Handler, Ms A. Langton regarding Footluce Diva which performed below expectations.  Ms Langton stated that the greyhound benefited from the handicap conditions at its previous start over the distance, and that in her opinion the greyhound failed to handle the rain affected conditions.
