Steward's Report
Rough Gem – Late scratching at 13:58 when Mr Frederick Bickerton reported the greyhound to have Illness-Diarrhoea (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.
Mr. Groove was slow to begin.
Mr Groove lost ground over the concluding stages of the event, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg triangle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Greg Murphy regarding Mr. Groove overall performance in the event. Pursuant to GAR 122, the Stewards requested Mr Murphy to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Mr. Groove in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.
