A pre–race urine sample was taken from Kelli.
Anna and Balanced were slow to begin.
Balanced was checked in the back straight and subsequently lost ground, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a back muscle injury to both hindlegs and a carpal sprain injury to the right foreleg. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
