Steward's Report
Cinta's Gift, Lindenow Grace and Dr. Dylan were slow to begin.
Cinta's Gift eased in the back straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Mr. Thomas Collins declined the option to have the greyhound re–examined. Stewards spoke to Mr Collins regarding Cinta's Gift’s racing manners in the back straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Cinta's Gift was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Collins pleaded not guilty to the charge. Cinta's Gift was found guilty and suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at Sale only and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Lindenow Grace crossed in and collided with Charlie Calamari in the home straight, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left torn nail. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr John Musselwhite regarding the greyhound's racing manners. After hearing submissions from Mr Musslewhite, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, a warning was issued.
