Steward's Report
Winter Bale was quick to begin. Platypus Yaala and Circle Round were slow to begin.
Circle Round and Windy Biscuit raced wide in the home straight.
A post-race urine sample was taken from Deputy Fred - the winner of the event.
Parwan's Star (marred Winter Bale entering the home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right deltoid injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms. Crystal Verde regarding Parwan's Star's racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Parwan's Star was charged with marring. Ms. Verde pleaded guilty to the charge. Parwan's Star was suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
