Steward's Report
Stewards issued a warning, pursuant to GAR 81(1), to Mr. Jack Clarke after Super Ceviche escaped the handler in the car park during kennelling. After hearing submissions from Mr. Clarke, a warning was issued in accordance with GAR 81(1). Super Ceviche underwent veterinary examinations at kennelling and pre-race. Super Ceviche was passed fit to race.
A pre-race urine sample was taken from Flying Bessie.
The start of this event was aborted and deemed a false start due to the starting boxes failing to open. All greyhounds were removed from the starting boxes, underwent an examination by the On-Track Veterinarian, and subsequently passed fit to race in accordance with GAR 110(7). The race was delayed by approximately five minutes whilst this occurred. Subsequently, this event was hand-started and commenced at 1.38pm.
Duke Caboom was quick to begin.
